The Trun Lab @ Duquesne University

This is the homepage for the lab of Dr. Nancy Trun in the Dept. of Biological Sciences at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. We study bacterial chromosome folding by the essential Csp proteins and the lab members, references and protocols for this project are under the first link below. We are also conducting an epidemiological study of the bacteria found in feral cats with undergraduate student researchers and lab classes. This project merges service-learning and the scientific method to promote student involvement in solving community problems and our projects are described under the second link below. Teaching resources for bacterial genetics, including corrections to Fundamental Bacterial Genetics (by Trun and Trempy), are found under the third link.
