The
Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Duquesne Univeristy is
committed to innovative research and education. Currently, the
department has approximately 50 graduate students and 80 undergraduate
students, with 17 full-time faculty members. State of the art
equipment such as mass and NMR spectrometers, X-ray diffraction
equipment and a supercomputer keep the department as the forefront of
current research tehniques. Year-round research opportunities are
available to students at all academic levels. Degree offerings
include B.S., B.A. and Ph.D. in Chemistry and Biochemistry and B.A. in
Environmental Chemistry.

Presidential Faculty Award for Excellence in Scholarship.
